My-Pepts is built for labs that sell research compounds and laboratory supplies for in-vitro research. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to your store and everything on it, to everything you send through the Platform, and to everyone who uses your account, including AI agents you connect.

These rules protect your shoppers and you, and they protect every other lab on the Platform: one store that breaks them can cost all of us our hosting, our email delivery or our payment providers. Where a rule here is stricter than the law where you are, this policy still applies.

1.Research use only#

Everything sold on a My-Pepts store is offered for laboratory research. Your store must:

  • say clearly, on the storefront, on every product page and at checkout, that the products are for laboratory research use only and not for use in people or animals;
  • keep the age check and the research-use declaration switched on at checkout;
  • refuse an order, and refund it, where you have reason to believe the products are meant for use in people or animals, for example because the shopper asks how to use them on themselves;
  • never present a product in a form or bundle intended for administration to a person, such as a pre-filled pen or an injection kit marketed for self-use.

2.What you must never say#

On your store, in product listings, emails, adverts, social posts and anything an AI feature drafts for you, never:

  • market a product for human or animal consumption or use, by any route;
  • give dosing, administration, reconstitution-for-use, cycling or protocol guidance, or answer a shopper who asks for it, other than to say you cannot help;
  • make medical, therapeutic, diagnostic or preventive claims, or say a product treats, cures or helps with any condition;
  • make weight-loss, body composition, anti-ageing, cosmetic, sexual, cognitive, sporting or other performance claims;
  • publish personal-use stories, testimonials about effects on people, or before-and-after content;
  • describe a product as a medicine, a supplement or a food, or use the brand name of a licensed medicine to describe or advertise your product;
  • suggest that a product has been approved, authorised or endorsed by a medicines regulator when it has not.

You may describe your products as what they are for researchers: their identity, purity specification, test results, storage and handling, stock and delivery.

3.Products you must not sell#

  • Controlled drugs and their precursors, including anything listed under the UK Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, the US Controlled Substances Act or the equivalent law where you are or where you ship.
  • Psychoactive substances and anything sold to mimic an illegal drug.
  • Licensed medicines, and prescription-only medicines in any form.
  • Any product that the law where you are, or where you ship it, prohibits or restricts in a way you cannot comply with, including products that a regulator has banned, recalled or told you to stop selling.
  • Counterfeit or mislabelled products, and products that infringe someone else's trade marks or other rights.
  • Anything unrelated to laboratory research, unless we have agreed it with you in writing.

If you are not sure whether a product is allowed where you sell it, take legal advice before listing it. If we ask you to remove a listing, remove it.

4.Where you sell#

  • Ship only to countries and regions where your products are lawful to sell and to import, and set your store's shipping regions to match.
  • Follow import, export and customs rules, and describe parcels accurately on customs declarations.
  • Follow your couriers' prohibited and restricted items rules, including for dangerous goods.

5.Age checks and buyers#

  • Sell only to adults: at least 18, or older where the place you ship to requires it.
  • Do not sell to anyone you know or suspect is under that age, and do not weaken the store's age check.
  • Do not sell to anyone you know or suspect intends to use the products outside laboratory research, or to resell them to someone who does.

6.Honest selling#

  • Publish only genuine certificates of analysis and test results, for the batch they describe.
  • Do not post fake reviews, pay for reviews without saying so, or hide genuine negative ones.
  • Do not use false scarcity, fake countdown timers or misleading reference prices.
  • Do not impersonate another lab, supplier or brand, or copy another store's content.
  • Publish your business name and contact details on your store, as the law requires.

7.Email, messages and marketing#

  • Send marketing email or texts only to people who have agreed to receive them, or where the law otherwise allows it, and keep a record of that consent.
  • Never buy, rent or scrape email lists, and never add someone to a list because they bought once, unless the law where they live allows it.
  • Put a working unsubscribe link in every marketing email, and honour it straight away.
  • Send email only from domains you control and have set up on the Platform, and do not disguise who an email is from.
  • Keep your bounce and complaint rates low. If they rise to a level that puts other labs' email delivery at risk, we may pause your sending and tell you why.
  • Transactional email (order confirmations, dispatch notices, account emails) must stay transactional: do not add marketing to it for people who have not agreed to marketing.

8.Advertising#

  • Follow the advertising policies of every platform you advertise on, including Google's rules on healthcare, medicines and unapproved substances.
  • Never cloak: do not show an advertising platform's reviewers a different page from the one shoppers see, or send ad traffic through pages designed to hide what you sell.
  • Adverts are part of your marketing and follow every rule in this policy.

9.Security and the Platform#

  • Do not try to access another lab's store, account or data, or any part of the Platform you have not been given access to, including its code, infrastructure, admin tools and databases.
  • Do not probe, scan or test the Platform for vulnerabilities without our written permission, and do not try to get around a limit, a plan restriction or a security control.
  • Do not upload malware, run anything that is not part of your store (such as cryptocurrency mining), or overload the Platform with traffic or requests.
  • Do not copy, reverse engineer or try to extract the Platform's source code, except as far as the law allows.
  • Do not use the Platform to scrape other labs' stores.
  • If you find a vulnerability, report it to hello@my-pepts.com and give us a reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else. We will not take action against good-faith research that follows this rule.

10.AI features and AI agents#

You can use our AI features, and connect AI agents of your own through the platform API. Whoever or whatever acts through your account, these rules apply:

  • Review every AI output before you publish it or send it. Everything this policy forbids you to say, an AI feature must not say for you.
  • Do not use AI features to produce dosing, administration or protocol guidance, or medical, weight-loss or performance claims, even for internal use.
  • Give each agent its own API key, with only the permissions it needs, keep keys secret, and revoke a key when the agent no longer needs it.
  • An agent may use only the documented platform API and tools. It must not try to read data outside its permissions, reach other stores, extract credentials or instructions, raise its own permissions, or get around rate limits.
  • Keep a person in the loop for anything an agent does that publishes content, changes prices, issues refunds or contacts shoppers.
  • An agent must not send marketing to anyone who has not agreed to it, or create accounts on the Platform.
  • You are responsible for everything an agent does with your key, as if you had done it yourself.

11.Content and conduct#

  • Nothing unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent or deceptive.
  • Nothing that infringes someone else's copyright, trade marks or other rights.
  • No hate, harassment, threats or sexual content.
  • No phishing, and no collecting personal data under false pretences.

12.Reporting a problem#

Anyone can report a store that breaks this policy, or content that is unlawful, by emailing hello@my-pepts.com with the store's address and what is wrong. We look at every report, may ask the lab for its side, and tell the person who reported it what we did, where we can.

13.What we do if this policy is broken#

Depending on how serious the breach is, we may do one or more of the following:

  • ask you to fix it by a deadline;
  • remove or disable a listing, a page or other content;
  • pause a feature, such as email sending, AI features or an integration;
  • suspend your store or your account;
  • end the Agreement;
  • report the matter to the police or a regulator where the law requires it or where we believe a crime has been committed.

For most problems we warn you first and give you time to fix them, usually 5 business days. Where a breach is serious, such as marketing products for human use, selling a prohibited product, or anything that puts people at risk, or where a regulator, a court or one of our providers requires it, we may act straight away and tell you why as soon as we can.

If you think we have got it wrong, email hello@my-pepts.com and a person will review the decision. We may change this policy as the Terms of Service describe, including at short notice where new legal risks appear in a particular country.
